Anish S. Shah, MD, MBBS, QME

Anish S. Shah, MD, MBBS, QME is a graduate of the University of Illinois psychiatric residency program and began his career as a general psychiatrist in 2004 working in several facilities including Kaiser Permanente, Sonoma County Mental Health, and Napa State Hospital, where he was Medical Director. At Napa State Hospital, Dr. Shah led a medical staff of 220 physicians; was responsible for a medical services budget of $4 million; and oversaw compliance with Joint Commission requirements.

In 2012, he founded Siyan Clinical Corporation, where he specializes in a wide range of mood disorders including depression, ADHD, PTSD, substance abuse, and schizophrenia.

Siyan Clinical provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients suffering from opioid use disorder and administers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment for patients with treatment-resistant depression. Dr. Shah has successfully treated more than 30 patients using TMS.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Shah has long been active in research, beginning in 1999 when he was a Research Associate at George Washington University and leading to the establishment of Siyan Clinical Research, a scientific research organization where pharmacological studies are conducted in an outpatient environment. On one recent study, he was Principal Investigator for a 10-Week, Open-Label clinical trial for adults with panic disorder. (For more details on this and other research, call for a complete CV).

Dr. Shah is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, American Psychiatric Association, California Psychiatric Association and Indian Medical Association. He has been published in the Journal of Psychiatry and the Annals of General Psychiatry.

In addition to his clinical practice, and his research work, Dr. Shah conducts Qualified Medical Evaluations for workers’ compensation and provides psychiatric expert witness services to plaintiff and defense counsel. He is a member of the Marin County Bar Association and the Sonoma County Bar Association.
